Memorial Day for Khmer Krom

June 4th, 1949 was the date when South Cambodia became "south Vietnam." It' was the day when southern Cambodia was illegally transferred to the state of Vietnam. It was the day, when so much blood stain on the ground, it was the day when Cambodian provinces changed to Vietnamese names. See map below. PreyNokor changed to Saigon, Koh Tral changed to Phu Quoc....etc.


To all Khmer children and those who love Cambodia. Never forget June 4th, 1949, THE SLAUGHTERING DAY!

mju kreung thro`kuon puoh ko(Khmer water spinach sour soup)

Somlor 'mju kreung thro`kuon puoh ko' is made of Khmer water spinach, crispy round eggplant(throb srouy), halapeno, honey-comb cow intestine(puoh ko), and beef. In traditional Khmer meal, this soup is eaten with sun dried fish(trei`ngeat) and along with other dishes.
